Goondiwindi mini tri’s

The Goondiwindi Tri Club is very busy in the lead up to the hell of the West, with mini triathlons held every Sunday at the Gundy pool. These tri’s are handicapped, and variable distance options are available. The standard distances are 50 to 200m swim, 6 to 13km ride and a 3-4km run.

People of all fitness levels and ages (minimum age of 10) can participate as a team or give the whole thing a go. The tri’s are popular amongst families, with many opting to complete the mini tri as a team, and include the kids in the run (prams) and bike leg (bike seat). With a social focus, the most important part of the tri is the 4th leg, or brunch, after all you deserve that coffee and cake!

Just for Kids Triathlon

An extremely popular event amongst the locals with the length of each leg varied according to the age of competitors. This event has traditionally been held on the Saturday before the Hell of the West but had to be moved to an alternative date. Watch this space for information regarding future kids triathlons.

Tin Man

Ironman too hard, try our Tinman (one tenth of an Ironman). In 2007 we had our inaugural Tin Man event with really good mix of locals and out of town competitors turning out for our final event of the season.
