NH FOODS SUPER SATURDAY

THERE IS AN EVENT FOR EVERYONE  

The NH Foods Super Saturday is a celebration of all things multisport, with events and atmosphere suited to all ages and levels of fitness. Make sure you get the whole family invovled and feel the thrill of the Hell of the West finish line. 

All our events (excluding charity runs) are governed by Triathlon Australia Policy and Rules. Full details can be accessed here:

Competitor Categories

The competitor categories are as follows:

  • HOTW Inferno Run – male and female
  • HOTW Firestarter Tri – 12yrs+ male and female
  • Hell Kids Tri – 6-9, 10-11
  • Age as 31 December 2023
  • Pricing and withdrawal details on pricing page

TQ State Series Competitors in Firestarter Tri

  • When racing HOTW Firestarter Tri to be included in Triathlon Queensland State Series you must be a Standard or Premium member 
  • Eligible Age groups are 12-13yrs, 14-15yrs, 16-17yrs
  • Age is at 31st December 2023

RACE KIT COLLECTION

Friday 24 March

  • 3.00-6.00pm Race registration at the Goondiwindi Town Park.

Saturday 25 March

  • 6.30am-8.30am Race registration at the Goondiwindi Town Park.

Individuals/Teams

Please ensure electronic version or card of TA membership (applicable to triathlon only) available at event registration if required.

HOTW Firestarter Teams

Please ensure that each team member has complete online registration information. If team information online is incomplete, relevant members MUST present at registration to complete the entry before race kit is released.

GUNDY INFERNO RUN – EVENT DAY

The HOTW Inferno run is a perfect event for all both experienced and novice runner. Safe flat course with plenty of support and aid

  • 5km or 10km Charity Run
  • Finish down the legendary HOTW finish cute
  • $20 from each entry going to local charity
  • Prams are allowed
  • Finishers visor/cap

RACE DAY

  • Registration is open from 6:30am to 7:30am for last minute entry and race bag pickup. We would prefer pick up 3-6pm Friday 24th
  • Race Brief 7:45am – Race Start at 8:00am
  • Start and finish at race precinct in town park

Presentations After LAST SUPER SATURDAY EVENT

  • Cash prizes for more information go to Awards Page 
  • Presentations after completion of the last Super Saturday event – approximately 11:30 -12:30pm 

 

HOTW FIRESTARTER TRI – EVENT DAY

The Firestarter is the perfect race for people to “give triathlon a go”

  • 200m SWIM – Pool swim with rolling start to provide a safe relaxed swim
  • 7.5km BIKE – 3 loop closed road bike course for maximum crowd support
  • 2km RUN – finish downs the legendary HOTW finish chute
  • Finishers race cap
  • Teams and individuals
  • 12 yrs and above (ages as 31/12/2023)

RACE DAY

  • Registration is open from 6:30am to 7:30am for last minute entry and race bag pickup. We would prefer pick up 3pm-6pm Friday 24th
  • Bike racking for Firestarter is event day between 8.00-9.00am ONLY
  • Bikes and Helmets will be checked by officials when entering transition
  • Bikes must be in good working order and have fully covered handle grips (no exposed bar ends)
  • All competitors will need bring
    • Swim cap provided in race kit
    • Well fitted helmet
    • Covered shoes for bike and run
    • Racing entire must cover torso on the bike and run.
  • Race Brief 9:15 in Town Pool area 
  • Race start 9:30 in Town Pool area

  • Bike collection will be after last race – approximately 11am

  • Presentations after completion of the last Super Saturday event – approximately 11:30 -12:30pm 

    HELL KIDS TRI – EVENT DAY

    Hell Kids Tri has no timing and is a participation race only.

    Individuals only not teams but concessions will be given if participants aren’t comfortable to complete the swim.

    Race Day 

    • Registration is open from 6:30am to 8:30am for last minute entry and race bag pickup. We would prefer pick up 3pm to 6pm Friday 24th 
    • Bike racking for HELL KIDS is event day only and strictly between 8:00 to 9:00am.
    • The competitors must rack own bike and can be accompanied by parent or guardian.  
    • Bikes and Helmets will be checked by officials when entering transition 
    • Bikes must be in good working order and have fully covered handle grips (no exposed bar ends)
    • All competitors will need bring
      • Swim cap provided in race kit
      • Well fitted helmet

    10-11yrs HELL KIDS

    • 100m Swim + 5km Bike + 1km Run 
    • Race brief 10:15am 
    • Race start 10:30am 

    6-9yrs HELL KIDS 

    • 50m swim + 2.5km Bike + 500m Run 
    • Race brief 10:15am 
    • Race Start 10:30am

    Bike collection 

    • Bike collection will be after last race, approximately 11am 

    PRESENTATION AND PRIZES

    • Prizes will be presented after last Super Saturday event at approximately 11:30 to 12:30am
    • Prize money will not be posted or collected by proxy

    AFTER PARTY

    Join the Goondiwindi Triathlon Club for a HELL of a post race party at The Queensland Hotel , affectionally known as the QL, this a great venue to celebrate your achievements with all the athletes and HOTW committee that just experienced the toughest Tri in QLD. 

    • Great beer garden that is dog friendly 
    • Selection of craft beers and cocktails
    • Awesome buffet for HOTW competitors and supporters 
    • Plenty of music, friendly banter and a few tall tails!!
